Thinking about Palm Sunday

As we approach Palm Sunday, we are reminded of the powerful story of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, greeted by crowds of people waving palm branches and shouting "Hosanna!" This event marks the beginning of Holy Week and the journey towards the celebration of Easter.

On this Palm Sunday, we are called to reflect on the message of hope, love, and peace that Jesus brought to the world. As we look around us, we see a world that is in great need of these values. We see division, hate, and fear that threaten to tear us apart. But just as Jesus entered Jerusalem amidst the chaos and turmoil of his time, we too can choose to bring hope and love to the world around us.

Let us remember that the message of Jesus is one of inclusivity and compassion. He reached out to the marginalized, the forgotten, and the oppressed, and he called on all of us to do the same. Let us follow in his footsteps and work to create a world where everyone is valued and included.

As we wave our own palm branches and shout "Hosanna," let us remember that this cry is a call to action. It is a call to work towards justice and peace, to stand up for what is right, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

May this Palm Sunday be a reminder of the power of love and the hope that we can bring to the world. Let us go forth and make a difference in our communities, spreading the message of Jesus and bringing joy to those around us.
