Music Ministry

Music is an integral part of the faith community here at memorial. We strive to present music that will connect ourselves and the congregation with God. We currently have two regularly performing groups that all ages have access to. In addition to performing during Sunday services from September to June, our musical groups also perform in our annual December Christmas Concert with the Greendale Village Band

Sarah Brumm

Music Director

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Choral Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and have been the music director at Memorial since 2015.  In addition to directing and programming all musical groups, I am a music teacher at an elementary school in Muskego.  I enjoy programming familiar tunes and upbeat music to get the congregation more involved in the wonderful music ministry.

Karen Fetzer

Pianist / Organist / Accompanist

I was raised in a family that went to church every Sunday. My parents served on committees and taught Sunday School. I started piano lessons when I was five years old. The beautiful music of the Church drew me in to hear God’s word and His plan for us. Music has always been a big part of my life.

I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in music from UWM and taught in public schools until my husband and I started a family. I have been playing piano and a little organ at Memorial since September 2012. I feel privileged to work with such a talented group of people who share my love of spiritual music.

My goal through my music is to help bring people closer to God. Sometimes it’s hard to remember a specific Bible passage, but you never forget the words to your favorite hymn.
